Philip Turton Building & Conservation Ltd was formed in 2002 by our director Philip Turton MCIOB. Philip is a Chartered Building manager for the Chartered Institute Of Building (CIOB) and has worked directly for English Heritage starting as a stone fixer mason in 1988 and leaving to set up PTB&CLtd as regional Manager for the Midlands and East Anglia regions for the employed labour force in 1999. He worked for EH for over 9 years and has managed and works on most of EH monuments.
We have a strong directly employed labour force Controlled by Kevin Bird of stone masons, stone fixers and quality tradespersons that are all CSCS registered. Our company carries operatives with Plant licences such as Telehandler, Scaffold inspectors, PASMA trained, all asbestos awareness for all of our operatives etc etc.
We have worked on Historic monuments such as Cardiff Castle for 12 years continuously, Bolsover Castle, Chatsworth House, most of properties in the guardianship of English Heritage in the Midlands region, Churches across the country as main contractor and also specialist sub-contractor.
We work for local Authorities such as Derbyshire County Council, Bolsover Old Town Council, Newark and Sherwood on a repeat basis.
